Peter Clayton

It is with great sadness that I must report the death of Peter Clayton. Peter and Georgina had a Thames Water wet birth with their cruiser, Cirrhosis of the River. Peter was a likeable rogue and a great character also a staunch supporter of the club bar. He will be sadly missed. His funeral will take place at Hamworth crematorium on the 5th of May at 4.00pm. No flowers but donations to the Princess Alice Hospice would be appreciated.

Big Boat Sailing

Met an interesting chap at the RYA dinghy show, he is the cruising sec for the TWOSC, they charter yachts for trips in the Solent and beyond at reasonable rates. They are keen to forge links with us. Take a look at their website

Working party

Sailing close to the Surrey bank is often tricky with the overhanging trees and branches in the water, a working party has cleared some of these obstructions, this should make sailing a bit easier.
